Other than that, the general feeling of the switch to Mac has been quite satisfying. System wide instant spell check, ultra simply installing and uninstalling applications, no more day-in day-out maintenance chores lets user concentrate on the solutions rather than the problems. Almost instant harddisk partition/formatting. Carefree system upgrade and migration.... The list of benefits goes on and on like the Energizer Bunny.
On the other hand, Power PC CPU speeds are no where near Intel's and all the Mac speed claims are just that - claims with no substantial evidence. But here comes Intel Macs...
I am tempted to get an iMac, originally thinking of upgrading the Powerbook either with RAM and OS, or swapping the entire PBook. But for about the same price difference in swapping PBooks, I could buy a 17" iMac Core Duo with 2GB RAM and 250GB HD without selling my PB17. Which could be kept for either myself or saved for Alec without needing to buy him an el cheapo "blank" PC notebook instead.
Picasa2 is still much better than iPhoto6, very cool~~~ iPhoto6 still slow if u import more than 40K pics, I have to manage pics in 4 database with iPhotoBuddy.
Don't buy PPC anymore except 4core PowerMac... I hope MacIntel will become stable soon and get native Nikon View/Capture.
With how Picasa works, the 100 million dollar question for all other applications is, why must users import any files at all? Importing should be an option, not a requirement. My PB17's 100GB internal HD does not have enough storage for my 180GB of old photos, as well as 45GB of songs which are already in my iPod.

用左Mac OS 之後，已經番唔到轉頭。因為 Tiger 比 Widnows XP 先進好多，你都唔想用番 Win95啦... :p
